Who it is for
Groups that share costs often: flatmates, trips, events and friend groups. Owetell records what was spent and who owes whom. You pay each other back outside the app.
How it is built
Owetell is a React web app. It uses Firebase for sign-in and data, and Vercel hosts it. It works offline, and you can install it on a phone or desktop home screen.
What it does not do
It does not move money, scan receipts by itself, or convert between currencies. Each room uses one currency.
